As of today, I’m down exactly 65 lbs. from when I started last year.

It’s been a wild ride. I’m taking the week off to reset and relax. Next week I’ll start the next leg of my journey.

I had no idea when I started that it was going to take three years to get to where I hope to be. However, it’s becoming clear to me it is indeed going to take that long.

I am up for the challenge!

After six weeks of heavy work responsibilities, including some weekends and holidays, I’m forcing myself to take off today. There’s only so much one can neglect in one’s personal affairs before things start to go south.

Someone at work who is an advocate for mental health suggested to take some time off (especially this month). I’m listening. Heard, Chef.

Time to start my day with a podcast and a nice, long outdoor walk.

It’s been a very rough day. I was hoping to write more about this, but I’m drained. So I guess I’ll just say that today I passed the 60-lbs mark in my journey.

I hope and plan to never return to the guy on the left again. The journey has been hard, but very much worth it.

Caught a #weezer show tonight. They still got it.

I’m glad I shifted to writing in a journal rather than posting all my disgruntled thoughts online, because today is a doozy and I would surely make everyone hate me.

Seriously, journal folks.

Hat tip to @johnkary for encouraging me to do it.

“A year from now, you will wish you started today.”

I read that quote so many times, and on Jan. 1, 2022, I changed.

Today I crossed the 50-pound mark in my #weightloss journey.

I am unbelievably giddy today. It took me decades to figure it out, but I finally learned what works.

Perhaps most important, I learned how to stop lying to myself.

Instead, I traded my lies for discipline.

This might be a little passé, but I’m considering starting a podcast, or at the least chat with some people and record it.

This wouldn’t be a business endeavor, but more like a hobby. Maybe I should pick a topic/theme.

And perhaps just a few episodes to get started, equivalent to an EP?

It pains me to write this, but we’ve had a regression of sorts.

Hey #lazyweb, if you wanted to find a web designer for a project you were making, is there a recommended service/website for that?
What’s happening to @wilw is shameful and a classic example of using tools that are supposed to be for protecting users to persecute one instead. A strong community leader would shut this shit down. The guy has only contributed positively to Mastodon. If the Masto community continues to eat itself in this way, it will only become a smaller, shittier, angrier Twitter.
