@kentindell @mintynet You know, minus the pile of DTCs you'd trigger each time, a "kill switch" that just shorts the bus somewhere sneaky wouldn't be the worst solution.

@kentindell @mintynet For that, you gotta put the whole car in the microwave. You're gonna need a bigger microwave.
In this particular case, we're unsure if the theft ring is doing key attacks or CAN attacks. If it's the latter that's a whole different story.
Toyota officially recommends putting your car keys in the microwave to prevent car theft.
@ktemkin this looks excellent! I ended up using libusb bindings to do async USB in Rust a few years ago and it was not pleasant. Glad to see someone tackling this in pure rust

I am convinced that Thunderbolt is cursed.
Day 1: Dock works fine!
Day 2: Dock continuously disconnects and reconnects. This happens even when the laptop is powered off. Reflash the dock and fully reset the laptop, no luck. Give up and leave dock connected overnight with laptop off.
Day 3: Dock works fine?!
