Someone has to say it: Elon Musk has lied for 27 years about his credentials. He does not have a BS in Physics, or any technical field. Did not get into a PhD program. Dropped out in 1995 & was illegal. Later, investors quietly arranged a diploma - but not in science. 🧵1/

It's mildly surprising to me that the latest Pokémon game seems less visually accomplished than many launch games for the PlayStation 3 back in 2006. This isn't the fault of the hardware, I think it's fair to say.

Y'know my one complaint about the setting of Scarlet/Violet is that I don't like school. I would never want a fantasy setting in a school. The appeal of Pokemon was that the kid didn't have to go.

@gotofritz @cyber I think a differentiation needs to be made overall, but also big individual creator brands would be problematic to show up and dominate someone else’s instance without paying for it too - so theoretically it has similar consequences. More social pressure to allow a creator and his minions to stay for fear of backlash than would be with a corp

Twitter Facebook etc are “social media”. Broadcast focused, one way, about building brands. Masto is “social networking.”
I think if we can shift to using the older terminology it will help slowly re-inform the public brain space on differences and objectives. #fediverse
