Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate these things! It's the Year of the Ox!

May the Chinese people prosper in the coming year, sharing their success with the world.

And may the CCP finally fall, freeing their people to do so.

@jerry I miss your podcast. Hope you and Andrew are doing well!

@m4iler @gcluley Morals, maybe? :)

Merry Christmas, Infosec.exchange.

You've been good to me, even if I don't post or like much. I appreciate the fediverse as it is and look forward to many more years with each of you.

May today be one you deeply enjoy.

I'm not sure what I want from breach disclosure.

As a consumer, I want to know ASAP if an account or service is compromised so I can take immediate action to protect myself.

On the other hand, if a breach happened, it's probably too late, and telling the world before the org knows what's going on could cause consumers to take actions that harm them or worse, cause the attacker to Hail Mary or burn it down.

Businesses should tell consumers about breaches, but when? And in what circumstance?
