Full-time dad ×2. Professional mechanic. Hardworking, hands-on, and loyal to the core. I’ll be honest this whole online thing is new territory for me. I’m used to grease on my hands, not swiping on a screen. But I figured it’s time to try something different and meet new people. If you appreciate honesty, consistency, and someone who shows up, we’ll get along just fine.
@sarahscire This is a vital deep dive. As a dad, I see how much we rely on local news to stay connected to what’s happening in our own backyards. Huge kudos to Sophie for bringing that 'sole reporter' perspective it makes the reporting hit much harder. We need these outlets to survive.
@irebussi if you don't mind I would like to have a proper conversation on our views on Africa and the World as a whole
@chantal @govinda_hari @EUCommission
You're absolutely right about that! It seems like there's always some kind of division.
@irebussi if you don't mind me asking, why so specific about knowing Africa.. sorry to interfere but I can't help but wonder if you're African by any chance or maybe just really intrigued by Africa as a whole
We keep arguing about taxes, immigration, abortion, guns, climate change but underneath those policy battles are two very human instincts pulling in different directions.
One instinct prioritizes security, order, stability, and tradition.
The other prioritizes equity, inclusion, fairness, and change.
Both instincts are deeply human. Both evolved to protect us. And both believe they are defending something sacred.
That’s why this moment feels so intense.
