Spring of '22 I was distraught & irate re invasion/war in ๐บ๐ฆ (land of my ancestors)- using 'irate' daily as my wordle starter became my personal reminder to send prayers of โฎ๏ธ there.. happens to be how I feel about yesterday's US holiday.. ๐

Texas is trying to pass a law that would prevent Chinese citizens from buying property. It doesn't have any exceptions for legal permanent residents, visa holders or dual citizens. Even if it doesn't pass, or is ruled unconstitutional, its popularity is indicative of sentiment in the state and the difficulties Asians face. Rhetoric around the bill seeks to make a false distinction between Texans and Chinese people.
