So the reason mastodon kind of sucks as a Twitter replacement is that it's core design is bad at being a social media.
The federated system doesn't handle constant interaction very well and is terrible for finding friends.
But do you know what mastodon is really good at? Being a world-wide bulletin board. Which, incidentally, is what it, and twitter we're originally designed to be.

We should put the federverse on the Blockchain and turn the whole thing into the biggest nft of all time *vomits*
