So #Facebook just asked me if I wanted to create a post with some photos I had downloaded onto my phone. It was album artwork I had uploaded to use with some music tracks, they weren't even in my main DCIM album, but evidently, good ol' #Meta has scoured my entire phone looking for pictures. That's not creepy at all! And people are falling over each other to join #Threads SMH  #DataPrivacy #DataSecurity #GDPR #DataProtection

On a happier note, I've started to knit again and my wrist seems to be holding up. So chuffed. It's been months since the sprain (and patience may be a virtue, but it's no virtue of mine 😉)

UPDATE: As of this morning there are now more than 7 million Mastodon users, most from the #TwitterMigration.

In fact, 100,000 new accounts have been created since last night.

Since last night's spike 8,000-12,000 new accounts are being created every hour.

Yesterday, I estimated that Mastodon would have 8 million users by the end of the week. That might happen a lot sooner if this trend continues.

@JaneG Not seeing the old "favourites" cycling by doesn't help.

Are you used to using Twitter on the phone, or plain twitter.com, or something else? I'm used to Tweetdeck with lots of columns and little in the way of algorithm ordering.
