The ChromeOS M131 update introduces a safety reset feature for privacy control and visual flash notifications for accessibility, enhancing usability for those with hearing impairments. It also refines system notifications and privacy settings for improved user experience.

Now ChromeOS can reset itself without erasing your laptop

Coming in ChromeOS M131, Safety reset will return Chromebooks to factory defaults without removing data like bookmarks and saved passwords.
