I can’t believe I have to be worried about going to synagogue tomorrow night because there is an organized National Day of Hate scheduled for this weekend in America. I’m for free speech, but I’m sad we live in a world where hate is normalized.
For the first time in a while, I miss having Fry’s nearby. A pack of Ethernet keystone couplers would be really useful right now.
You know it’s cold when my mains powered outdoor cameras send me notifications saying it’s too cold for them to operate on battery, like they don’t know they’re hardwired in and just don’t want to work today. At least I can relate.
All this talk of Netflix’s anti-password sharing strategies just reminds me how little I watch Netflix and maybe it’s time to drop the service. They cancel good shows all the time, only seems fair.
Ok it can stop snowing now
Back in my day, we would never have closed school the night before based on a forecast, but we also didn’t have eLearning, so maybe the anticipation of a snow day wasn’t so bad.
Question for the
#orgmode crew - I am trying to take advantage of `FILETAGS` based on how I like to split my files up. I am also trying to make an agenda view that shows me only a certain tag (`:ROUTINE:` if it matters), but I found it only works if I tag the line in question, not the file or even parent. Is there a setting to make it consider the hierarchy in searches? I’ve checked a few settings from Google to no avail.
I know working from home isn’t for everyone, but spending Friday working from couch with my pup sleeping next to me is just about the happiest I can be during work, and I like my job.
I’ve been investing some time in getting
#emacs #orgmode configured in a way I like, and really enjoying the process. Literate config files are a game changer. Really excited to get to things like
#orgroam and linking to dump my brain in to a flat file.
A moment of appreciation thread for Lieutenant Barclay and his time on Enterprise and saving Voyager. He was a true Everyman who stayed toe to toe with Starfleet heroes.
