I find myself in a side quest today. Making a standalone snapfit case for the Feather Propmaker. Its got cutouts for the screwblock terminals, button pressers and access to the stemma qt port.
Lil finder guy took 14 hrs to print. I choose to make this one solely because it was designed to print support free.
Just got a bambulab X1C with AMS. Anyone have any good tips on reducing waste with multi-color prints? Our first multi-color print is a festive pusheen
@blitzcitydiy Knitted me a sock for my space mouse 🧶🐁🚀 My space mouse is several years old now and the spray on rubber coating has started to degas and get sticky. It’s really soft to the touch and the colorful striping is awesome ☺️
Success! Added a 0.2mm offset to the mating faces. Snug fit, will need some wood glue. Any suggests for finishes? It’s a coffee/drink coaster so should be water resistant #woodworking #cncmilling
Second milling project attempted today. Designed these two halves so they’d interlock together but they’re just too tight. Didn’t add any offsets to the mating faces but maybe after some sanding they’ll wedge together. It’s some walnut and maple. Trying to make a drink coaster. Feels good to get back into cnc milling 🪵
First mill of 2024! Milling some kumiko patterns on walnut. Gonna try some resin or enable paint as an inlay. Thinking of making coasters as gifts
While planning our Boston outing @blitzcitydiy suggested I design a case for the new @adafruit Memento camera. It faired well in the cold weather. Think it could use some loops for a lanyard for better wearability 📸🏙️
Started designing some ornaments early this year. Been wanting to come up with ideas for these short LED noodles from @adafruit Made a snap fit case for a CR2032 coin cell with channels for solid core wire. Added a slide switch so it’s easy to turn off without having to take it apart. What other shapes should I make?
Working on a tutorial for my overhead camera rig. Got myself an external monitor since my camera doesn’t have a flip display
