@lisacordaro @edibuddies If that editor is the one to find the other freelancers, direct them, train them, pay them, and generally be the one responsible for their work, then, yes, I think "founder" is ok.
I don't think I've called myself the founder, but that's what I do. My team are freelancers. They work for me, not my clients. I may be the only "employee" in the business, but I'm not working solo. And I'm responsible for everything.
