In August 2024, new regulations regarding school attendance will take effect. These changes include a national threshold for unauthorized absences, increased fines for violations, and stricter penalties for repeated offenses.

Our aim is to provide knowledge at a dictionary level that can act as a reference point for readers. The point is to make it more accessible to those who may not necessarily be academic whilst still offering something to students. There is a certain arrogance from some ‘academics’ who think that academic knowledge should only be for academics. They forget that many people do not understand academia but would still like to learn more about the world.

Not specifically. There is no dictionary which is going to cover everything. The Oxford dictionary of sociology is fine for general sociology. If you have access then the encyclopaedia of sociology by George Ritzer is good but a bit dated.
