Meet Rosemary! This web-based application, developed by the eScience Center in collaboration with CLARIAH, provides an accessible interface to explore public Linked Data—no SPARQL knowledge needed. #SoftwareSpotlight
In this month's #SoftwareSpotlight, we're featuring Speckcn2, a Python package designed by the eScience Center and TU Delft to revolutionize laser-based satellite communications. Using machine learning to analyse star twinkling patterns, it estimates atmospheric turbulence.

As we wrap up the year, we’re shining a light on your favourite
#SoftwareSpotlight of 2024! This incredible tool, developed by our talented Research Software Engineers, has made a big impact!

A huge thanks to everyone who used, shared & supported the
#Software featured this year!

We want to offer our sincere congratulations to Prof. dr. ir. Wilco Hazeleger, our former director at the Netherlands eScience Center, on his appointment as the new Rector Magnificus of @utrechtuniversity. His leadership and commitment to sustainability, interdisciplinary collaboration and open science have made a lasting impact on our organization. We look forward to seeing how he will continue to inspire and innovate in this new role, shaping a bright future for the broader academic community.
Last week, several colleagues from the eScience Center attended the ODISSEI - Open Data Infrastructure for Social Science and Economic Innovations conference in Utrecht - a conference that brings together over 400 participants to connect, share ideas and explore cutting-edge research in computational social sciences.

Earlier this week, we gave a workshop for the Economic Department of Wageningen University & Research on collaborative version control with Git and GitLab. We gave a similar workshop on Tuesday at
Wageningen University & Research open to all students and employees.
