The Yom Kippur war happened when I lived near Barksdale AFB. The C 5s flew over house, so low a model rocket would have landed in their wheel bays. The line of munitions going into the base stretched as far as the eye could see, including tanks. If my memory serves, they were M 41 Walker Bulldogs. But I have never heard of Israel ever receiving M 41s. So what happened to them? #yomkippurwar #ramadanwar #Coldwar

Purchased a remarkable 2 note taking tablet on impulse on my birthday. Not a bad tool, but people should look at the Supernote and also the ONYX Boox products. For now making fantasy maps with it. Layers and erasure and copy paste from a sheet of stock objects I make in advance all improve what I could do as a 17 year old with pen and paper.

All the pilots going to Vietnam would buy these massive reel to reels, They would play the records they could rent from the base library, and collect these enormous personal reel to reel libraries. After Dad came back, we ignored the classical reels and largely played a reel that had: Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary, and then Johnny Cash.
