Clean and energy should never be used in the same sentence. There is no such thing as 'clean' energy. There is just chaos and entropy.
More dirty and less dirty. Some contain more pollution and less pollution.
It all depends on who you want to clean it up after you use it.
BTW it takes 7 half-lives to reduce radiation to about zero.
