@hotdogsladies thank you so much for the tip on Blue Lights it is so so good. Grace and Stevie 4eva

@RecDiffs As a result, a perfectly scaled model of an industrial object like the Mac SE might not read as accurate compared to a model that incorporates such adjustments.

That’s still no excuse for using stickers as vents though.

@RecDiffs There are many reasons for this, both perceptual and mechanical, such as manufacturing accuracy, material quality and even the physics of light interaction with materials and our eyes at different scales. Analogous effects exist in the graphic design of typography and icons, where maintaining perceptual weights requires non-linear scaling of strokes, spacing and weights.
@RecDiffs regarding Maclock and accuracy in miniature & replica models: There’s a well known challenge regarding scaling of shadow gaps and reveals and how we perceive lines at different scales. A 20mm reveal scaled down to 1:20 (1mm) will read differently to the eye relative to other model features such as primary masses and texture. In architecture for example modelers will often increase shadow gaps and other lines by 50-200% to ensure they read properly.
@hotdogsladies thank you!!
@hotdogsladies please let us know what the custom screw thing you mentioned on RoTL is! You said it just goes “zhoop” in the wall?
Do not ask someone if they want a glass of water. Just bring them a glass of water. Everybody likes being given a glass of water.
