@shadyspotlight Exactly. This open world was much bigger than I was expecting with awesome collectable photo cards. 100s of hours of game play. 10/10.
@billOfEarth42 The clue is in the name, Powerful Owl 😉
OMG! This Powerful Owl has a Greater Glider. Just the tail is as almost as long as the POwl. I didn't even know there were Greater Gliders at this location in Brisbane. It's a shame to see an endangered species taken by a threatened one, but I'm still a bit impressed by the POwl.
Female Powerful Owl looking out of her nest hollow just after dusk. Yesterday she didn't leave the nest, but tonight she spent 5 min looking out then flew to spend 12 min with her partner before returning to the nest, perhaps not wanting to leave her egg(s) for too long.
#Owl #PowerfulOwl #WildOz #Nest@Heliograph Thank you, Heliograph, you are very kind!
@lizstl13 Awwww, what a beauty. I wish they'd come to my yard.
OMG! I didn't find any Powerful Owls this morning but there was this beautiful female Masked Owl in one of the roosts I was checking! Seeing a Masked Owl out in the sun is really unusual as they usually roost in old-growth tree hollows during the day. This one seems to have lots of 'W's on it's chest, perhaps for 'Wol'?
Tonight I was lucky & got to sound record the Powerful Owls calling: female (high pitch) then male (lower), then female bleating (like a sheep!), then them mating!!!! The mating was pretty incredible as they flew into a tree where I was only about 8m away from me.
