@adarsh solarboi on TikTok made the point that a competent maniacal asshole would first build up energy security through solar, wind, and electrification and only once it was a major export would they attack foreign oil production so other countries would have to buy what your country sold
@alpha I have various beep options. Reminder beep is off, button beep is on (lack of feedback from the flat but slightly flexible button surface is terrible), finished beep is on. Maybe if it’s late at night, you could avoid the finished beep?
I’ll have to check the manual to see if this feature is mentioned
@alpha @elithebearded my biggest annoyance is that its difficult to clean because the drawer front blocks access and visibility of the inside top, and the drawer has tall sides so you must reach down into it. If you’re not abled it seems terrible
I wish the front was hinged at the bottom so the drawer would open over it and the drawer had lower sides to improve access and cleaning
@elithebearded I would prefer a standard manual door microwave but it's under-counter. It's much less convenient than a standard microwave and I'm sure the extra moving parts will fail at some point
I have a drawer microwave and found that if I place my finger over the open-close button, but don’t press it, it adds three seconds when the countdown expires
I haven’t noticed any other button with a separate touch and press feature. I wonder if this is for people who hate the microwave beeping
