That's how I eventually discovered there was a world of people out there making eye contact.
I grew up with books. From very early on my eyes were glued to the page, and I quickly noticed something very strange. In every case, the characters in these books so noticed the colours of other people's eyes.
What was going on here? I saw people all the time, and never once did I notice the colour of their eyes. I couldn't even have told you what my own mother's eyes looked like. Why were all of these authors pretending this was a thing?
