In the summer semester of 2026, I will be standing in for Prof. Daniel Utz @dnlutz at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design, leading a seminar on the topic of ‘visual thinking’. The students’ task will be to translate the instructions for various medicines into symbols. The resulting works will be exhibited in various locations as part of the #milulayuproject. At the same time, this seminar forms part of the contribution to Frankfurt’s programme as World Design Capital. In the summer, the students’ tuqtuli translations will be featured in the WDC campus exhibition at the Museum Angewandte Kunst (Museum of Applied Arts). #tuqtuli

Quietly leaving this little project here today, which has been in the making since 2024. It's an attempt to rethink the making of a script font, namely by drawing most letters with code and creating as many alternates as needed to create an organic, handwritten feel. BM Glue also comes with a weight, gradient and slant axis.

Now you can follow foundries, designers, and friends—collect typefaces, and explore them in entirely new ways. (Carousel, Grid, List, Graph, Globe)

Type.lol has evolved from a simple list into a full-on collection tool that bridges the gap between type exploration, discovery, and purchase—connecting foundries and designers more directly than ever.

My hope is that this helps build a new kind of marketplace where type designers earn more from their work, and designers can more easily find the perfect typefaces for their projects.
