@garyackerman There's no universal way to test everyone as everyone is different and whatever generalized approach used, there are always assumptions made, many of which are invalid. Some people have conditions but were never diagnosed, some had genetic advantage or cultural advantage, and it always leads to unsafe assumptions. People learn when they're motivated to learn, not when they're put under pressure.
Markets are never efficient, the totality of all the information is never there. There's always something missing and not taken into consideration. There's always somebody out there selling or buying for irrational reasons.
@garyackerman Sometimes the audience doesn't really understand they need it. It takes extra-work to articulate details that would make it obvious that the idea is a good one.
@garyackerman The problem is it takes a lot to convince some people that it's worth joining your effort - they come without invitation when you have already done all the heavy lifting yourself, and then you suspect, not without merit, that they're only trying to take advantage of you and your work.
If humans differ in anything thing from other animals - it's in how arrogantly and often in a deadly way they push their anthropocentric nonsense down everyone's throat.
@garyackerman That should be done by UI/UX professional and page designer when they investigate and test the usability, collect feedback and optimize interface. Whoever owns the web app should be able to fix it. Giving them feedback helps.
If you want to go fast - go alone, if you want to go far - also go alone, but hire some help as needed.
Teamwork is overvalued. Different people respond differently to grouping, and to some working alone is much more productive.
@garyackerman In many cases government funds the research so there's always an agenda that comes with money. No pure "idealist" science exists - somebody always profits and impacts.
There are very few, if any, people whose advice is actually worth listening to. Most have never lived your life and have no exposure to all the complexities you had, and they will only share their, most likely mistaken, perspective, adopting which will take you nowhere. Life will start improving when you'll stop taking advices from others.
