Markets are never efficient, the totality of all the information is never there. There's always something missing and not taken into consideration. There's always somebody out there selling or buying for irrational reasons.
If humans differ in anything thing from other animals - it's in how arrogantly and often in a deadly way they push their anthropocentric nonsense down everyone's throat.
If you want to go fast - go alone, if you want to go far - also go alone, but hire some help as needed.
Teamwork is overvalued. Different people respond differently to grouping, and to some working alone is much more productive.
There are very few, if any, people whose advice is actually worth listening to. Most have never lived your life and have no exposure to all the complexities you had, and they will only share their, most likely mistaken, perspective, adopting which will take you nowhere. Life will start improving when you'll stop taking advices from others.
Something is broken in society where news about actors have more importance than news about education and economy. Society that worships actors is a sick society.
Following advices from "gurus" is the sure way to screw yourself. Those who have something of a value to share don't call themselves "gurus".
Religion is a celebrated ignorance used as a crutch. When you use crutches with your healthy feet in place you refuse to learn how to walk.
People that don't know what Musk is may think he's a self-made genius -it's frequent nowadays to see ignorant people providing Musk as example of "rich guy that has many kids and thus education has nothing to do with fertility". Stupid always look up at other stupid to copy from. They won't learn from smart because thinking takes energy and pain.
It's like:
- "can you prove that you're indeed the one you claim to be - group-wise? What evidence do you have to show that you're a descendant of those ancient folks that lived in that area?"
- "you have an agenda! This is repulsive! This is touchy subject!"
- "listen, anyone, who will uncover your nonsense and will notice your made up stuff being incomplete and inconsistent, will have and agenda in your eyes, so better come prepared and expect your nonsense to be questioned".
