Some time ago I blamed balloo (KDE indexing tool) for using a lot of CPU, but it turned out it was seaweedfs.

I don't use seaweedfs on my machine that often (only for debugging and testing).

Now there is another software doing the same, but I don't know which one :/

(as a software developer) it is sad to see software also needs to take sleep of laptop into account to work properly (granted seaweedfs is more of a server tool, yet …).

If your app/website does not provide dark mode, don't worry, KDE got you covered.

Go to "System Settings", search for "shortcuts", then "Window Management", in the search type "invert" and you will see "Toggle Invert Effect on Window".

In case you don't know, this website exists:

And the domain slopvidia . com is registered (but there is nothing there).

MICROSLOP — Microsoft's AI Slop Manifesto

MICROSLOP: A manifesto tracking Microsoft's AI slop flooding the internet.

At this point, I’m no longer going to use any external libraries and just write everything old school

If I had a cat for every item on my "read later" list, I would be smothered in my sleep. :3

Another day, another Excel chart.

Last week I spent two full days rewriting my ansible playbooks, I simplified, deleted unused, and consolidated most of the things to use vm (either qemu or bhyve/vm-bhyve).

Very satisfying.

The one thing I never got right with my setup is monitoring. :/
