After one day on Mastodon... Mixed so far.
Server down, strange user experience, a lot of not cool accounts, spam, grifter stuff... I'm pretty sure I picked the wrong "home" and should simply migrate to a different one.

Looking at some of the options, trying to understand which might be the best choice (for some definition of "good")...

@juddlegum following them is a bit of a three step process, but it should all work and once you follow them, you can interact quite similarly - the one big thing missing (for me) is the equivalent of the Quote Tweet.

@jbeda have you figured out a way to Quote Tweet? I used to do that fairly often at the BirdSite... and that seems to be missing over here.
But it's fun how many others were faster than me to switch 🤣
