@[email protected] there's a bit more discoverability with retoots and local instance timelines, vs already needing to be on the right discord to encounter interesting new people. Like, you have no idea which discords I'm in. And no way to know.

@justkelly_ok curious where you're looking at moving, I'm 100% in the market for a new instance right now. No slight against the .social lead, but dealing with a 20-30% user count spike in a couple of weeks is gonna floor anyone

@eevee I guess if your only experience of the service is via the site, that ambiguity might just be part of your usage model? Like "yeah, that's cool, I don't mind my followers seeing that" vs "Y'ALL LOOK AT THIS"
