NEW: Billionaires and the Evolution of Overconfidence.

Billionaires provide a window into so much about what is wrong with modern life—and the broken systems of how we allocate wealth and power. I explain: https://brianklaas.substack.com/p/billionaires-and-the-evolution-of

Billionaires and the Evolution of Overconfidence

To understand billionaires, you need to understand horizontal inequality, illusory control, self-selection bias, quantified self-worth, and the evolution of overconfidence.

The Garden of Forking Paths

@[email protected] @RickiTarr it has been so since the beginning.

In the late 60s the original had a Japanese person, a Russian, and a Black woman on the bridge. Think about that for a bit. Can't believe the MAGAs back then didn't flip out

@dungeonsbeta @astrelion no, I mean if we have a second level slot available, we should get the option to use the first level spell as a second level, instead of as a first level.

Right now, if we burn through our first level slots, only then can we use a second level slot. We should get those first.

E.g. say we have Thunderwave and we are a 3rd level cleric. We should get the 3d8 option (2nd level slot) before we get the 2d8

@billyanders they just showed the replay, Draymond got hammered, no call.
@dungeonsbeta @astrelion I think it might be better to use your highest spell slots first, rather than your lowest. It's often the case that we have to go rest for HP before we get to the higher level slots, so we end up never getting to use them.
@flexghost I would not have heard of @ZoAndBehold if it weren't for the bigots in Montana, so I guess we can thank them for that.
