Programming everything from big servers to little kids.

Many times, Claude is just genius and hard to beat. Life is good.

And then just as many times, Claude falls down the stupid tree, hits every branch on the way down, and then shits the bed.

@stroughtonsmith Thanks!!

GamePlan is an app to keep your family in-sync on school/team/work events.

Rather than needing every family member to add a calendar subscription, you do it once in GamePlan. It keeps shared iCloud calendars synced with the team.

Apple just approved a version that will import events from a picture/PDF of a month calendar!

I use it to keep my family of 6 on the same page. Massively reduces stress!

The surprise about GamePlan was how difficult it is to securely add an LLM API.

You can't ship an app with your OpenAI api key embedded in it. It’ll be stolen🫰

Solving this with an API Gateway: none are easy to use & reasonably priced. I gave up on GCP's API Gateway.

They are built for cloud architects with huge budgets.

So I created Gate/AI to solve this. It's a dead simple API gateway that provides secure key management, rate limiting, token use & analytics.

Here's a great example of how Apple doesn't consider families:

Who the hell arranges their kids in a list alphabetically instead of by age?

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot of complaining…
Good on Apple for allowing you to use a lot of characters to name your AirTag.
