Scala software dev, ex java posse and scalawag, talks a lot, sometimes at conferences
@rit Life's too short to worry about memorizing the keyboard yoga for umlauts 🙂
Much like ELO, hearing a Bob Mould, Sugar or Husker Du song just always makes my day that little bit better
@ahl heh - sports futility vehicle is what I call my spin bike - I pedal for ages and never get any-damn-where.
@rit that is funny of course, but it's also a way dogs communicate for real. Peeing on something means they want to stay there, so perhaps Otter isn't digging the dog hotel? When we got Dottie, once she settled in she peed in the house a couple of times when we had visitors, right in front of them (Petey and Pepper too). It was an indication that she (and they) really wanted to stay in their new home
@cote sorry for the delay. We play quite sporadically, like, sometimes a month goes by between games and then we have a streak of weekly ones. I'll let you know once the holidays are done because there's not much happening right now.
though to fess up, this is audacity, the linux winamp, still compatible with the skins though
It still really whips the llama's ass
@cote Dude! If you're that hard up for D&D buddies we can add you to one of our games! :-)
@JSkier nope. Sticking with the original software at least for now. Everything works with rhythmbox/linux so I feel no need to re flash it
@james I fear I wasn't clear. 5th generation ipods and earlier used a wolfson DAC (standard equipment) while later devices, including the ipod touch I believe, use a new DAC that some folks claim doesn't sound as good. I found out about this when I was learning to fix up the old one as the reason a lot of people repair these.
