The white US notion of masculinity is toxic, petty, violent, fearful, hurtful, and hateful. It's basically a grown man with the same emotions and selfishness as a 3 year old boy throwing a tantrum.
I'm OK if white people overall want to define that as masculinity for themselves, but don't put that on us. That's not how Black men define masculinity.

I follow both your account & Ms. Legault's because I find both informative in similar ways. Yours gives deep insight into US politics while hers has a Canadian focus I appreciate. I realize folks have a spectrum of priorities & views but I honestly wish we could as progressives spend more energy actually progressing & waste less disagreeing internally.

Not enough attention has been paid to Poilievre's ability to decline getting security briefings on any subjects of his own choosing *even if he does get security clearance*.
He could still choose to decline to take security briefings about India or foreign interference in 2 CPC leadership races if he so wished. #cdnpoli

I think your suggestion is reasonable. But it will take time. It does strike me as fully reasonable that anyone hoping to be the leader of the government should be willing to go through getting security clearance before an election happens. If he won't, it speaks volumes.
This is the Canadian version of TFG refusing to release his tax returns even though every other elected president in recent history has done so without a legal obligation.

But far, far more so of the people and industry who have enabled him. He has been an out and proud proponent of sexual abuse for decades now. He posts it on his web site! How the hell can anyone justify any role for him, anywhere, or inviting him to any event, ever?

Yeah, at my high school in the 80s, kids could smoke in the cafeteria (at least up to my grade 11 year; after that, they had to go outside to the parking lot). It seems unimaginable now.
