I keep saying the real AI risk is people mistaking fancy autocomplete as actual intelligence. This is more likely to cause problems than ChatGPT suddenly get self aware and start dropping nukes and building Terminators.

I think chatGPT is very neat but it's funny that no one seems to remember we had literally the same reactions and conversations about IBM's Watson winning Jeopardy, before it turned out to be useless for real-world applications, which no one seems to remember now.
