Navigating the healthcare system first as a pregnant person and then as a pregnant person with cancer, revealed that the system is not equipped to support and care for patients with intersecting needs. With cancer diagnoses during pregnancy on the rise, the time for meaningful policy change is now. We can do better by healthcare workers and patients.
