Wyden says Apple and Google can be “secretly compelled by governments to hand over this information.”

Look, we tried trickle-down economics for over forty years. It simply didn’t work. The national debt exploded and nothing trickled-down, so now we move on.

Stimulating the economy from the bottom up is clearly more effective. A rising tide should lift all boats, not just yachts.

50 years of tax cuts for the rich failed to trickle down, economics study says

Tax cuts for the wealthy didn't boost the economies of the U.S. and 17 other countries — but they did worsen income inequality.

Angelo John Gage, a neo-Nazi who recently started using the name "Lucas Gage" and whose Twitter feed is a constant stream of antisemitism and racism, says he received his first payment through the platform's revenue sharing system.

It's was $165.52 — not much, obviously. But it's also not nothing.

CLAIM: Dems must be more moderate to win elections

Ok. Let's unpack that.

A living wage is moderate—a poverty wage is extreme

Guaranteed healthcare is moderate—denying care is extreme

Racial justice is moderate—racism is extreme

Climate justice is moderate—denying climate science is extreme

Reject GOP Framing. Lean confidently into our ideas based on facts and justice because that wins elections.

A gen-Z told me today that his generation has largely accepted that they live in a plutocracy, everything is corrupt, and the Musks, Zuckerbergs, and Trumps are just a fact of existence. They accept it as SOP. It's pretty dark, and exactly what GOP wants them to feel: totally hopeless and disinterested in voting. If they let that despair keep them from voting in 2024, they will learn the hard way just how much more there was and is to lose. We need to change their minds. For their sakes.
@autumnfox Well, there’s my first boost! Thanks for the push. 🙂
@rbreich The FTC apparently encountered something I have not. I detest Amazon, but when I’m compelled to shop there, it almost always has a free, albeit short, trial of Prime on offer. Free shipping is free shipping … As a result, I’ve gone through the cancellation process numerous times. I always found it mildly annoying, but confusing? It’s essentially, a series of “Are you sure you’re sure?” prompts. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
