@dan @psfshr I think that generally MT is better for limited group comms in decentralised“islands” (hiking, attending a protest, music festival etc) while MC is better at regular connectivity with wider community especially in urban areas.
100% tariff on the MM/DD/YY date format.

We love to see it--community-created harm reduction infrastructure in the face of the alarming integration of AI agents into the Windows operating system (which is currently the most reckless deployment environment) <3

Since Ryanair now requires you to use their app to get a boarding pass or stand in line at the counter I got fed up with their BS.
I made an app that allows you to get the Google Wallet link and Apple Wallet pkpass (that you can also add to Android wallet apps) without their shitty app (online check-in still has to be done on the Ryanair website, I might make a tool that does that at some point as well).

Feel free to try it at https://ryanair.anze.dev.

"there is a better way to respond to #tariffs. Tit-for-tat tariffs are a 19th-century tactic, & we live in a 21st-century world—a world where the most profitable lines of #business of the most profitable #US companies are all vulnerable to a simple #legal change that will make things cheaper for billions of people, all over the #world, including in the US, at the expense of the companies whose CEOs posed w/ #Trump on the inaugural dais."

Fun fact: @kagihq allows users to block certain websites from showing up in search results (you can also pin websites to the top of results, or raise or lower them). They also provide stats (https://kagi.com/stats) including top domains being blocked. The top 7 domains blocked by users are all iterations of pinterest.
@EUCommission Staying connected is going to be increasingly hard if policies like age-gating, chat control and digital omnibus are allowed to pass. The Commission seems to have spent the past year actively trying to prevent European digital sovereignty.
@stargirl idk, I guess that if an appliance manufacturer made a fridge, released the FW of that fridge under GPL and CAD files under some sort of license that lets me do anything except selling a clone of that fridge, I’d be fine calling that an open source fridge. 😅 But that gets into the somewhat philosophical debate on what is and isn’t open source and that is probably out of scope of a masto thread. 🙂
@stargirl I see! Well, maybe it’s a good thing that first one to test whether the license can hold up or not will be Prusa with their core one printers. Considerations about legal strength of the license aside though, I still count it as a win for the community that they released the CAD files.
@stargirl yeah but I guess what I’m not getting is what makes it flawed and misguided? Is it that it prevents people from taking the designs and selling identical machines?
