My friend Carie Juettner (not here on the 'don) is a horror fiction writer and even writes for a spooky series for kids. Yesterday I spotted her book at a local store, so today dropped it off at our neighborhood Little Free Library. #halloween

A simple lunch from a couple of days ago- roasted heirloom tomatoes with fresh basil on some trofie pasta from Trader Joe's.

So sad about Sinéad. Thinking of her family today. She got me through some tough times. And this album, full of tunes I was unlikely to ever listen to, opened me to a new genre.

Made dinner for friends last night and ended the meal with the trendy lemon posset. It's a winner!

Think wildfire smoke is only in the Western U.S.? Nope. For the past couple of weeks we've been getting shrouded in it here in Boston, from Canadian fires. Dry conditions affect people everywhere.
