When I die, I want to be famous enough that Daniel Lurie comes to my funeral and records a “let’s go san francisco” instagram post there #sfpol
Dick Cheney was the last living survivor of the 2003 premature CNN obituaries. He outlived Ronald Reagan, Fidel Castro, Bob Hope, Pope John Paul II, Nelson Mandela, and Gerald Ford. https://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/cnns-premature-obituaries
These Muni trains hit S.F. streets when ‘Friends’ and Boyz II Men were hot. Now they’re retiring — San Francisco Chronicle

Muni rolled out its first Breda trains when Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee” was the hottest song on the radio and “the Rachel” haircut was, unironically, in style.

@soaproot just realized that I can search historical runs by vehicle type in the @Pantograph app. Looks like Breda vehicle 1550 has been sneaking out at night...

(My guess is that there was some sort of maintenance or other logistical-related need to temporarily relocate the vehicle from Muni Metro East to Green Yard)

@soaproot last time i rode one was after a Giants game… I’ve heard they’re only used as post event trains nowadays
Ok fine. I’ll switch to WAGO connectors. #homeownership
@soaproot having dug into it... it sounds like full retirement scheduled for end of summer (did we miss it!?) https://www.sfmta.com/media/42649/download?inline

how many Breda LRV3's are still operational? if all of the Siemens LRV4's had to be sidelined due to a safety defect, how much Metro service could #Muni still provide? #sftransit
