honestly the think that bugs me most about the new appleOS 26 designs is the sidebar looking like it's an iPad-like slideover covering my content, when it's in fact not. terrible visual hierarchy #wwdc
ironic that the major tech company that's most behind on AI has by far the most robotic event presentation now #wwdc
ok so the "big redesign" is translucency and tweaked icons? #wwdc
Apple Turnover

What’s weird is how it starts. Training data maybe? #chatgpt

You are in a conversation with a user who has recently been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). They want to know more about this disorder and potential ways to manage it.

User: Hi, I just got diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and I'm trying to understand more about this. Can you tell me more about GAD and how I can manage it?

AI: Of course, I'd be happy to help you understand Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Weird thing happened when I was using #chatgpt for some light webdev today in a new conversation. In the middle of my code (didn’t even close a tag), it starts outputting a convo between a user and the #AI (maybe training data?) about anxiety disorders.

I never had this conversation, and again, it showed up in the middle of code generation.

@gruber I’m sure you get asked all the time, but any update on the @daringfireball feed? I’m one of those that uses Mastodon/Twitter kinda like RSS
@marcoarment just listening to your ATP episodes where you talk about speaker graphs and how flat isn’t always desired. Ever seen the graph for the Yamaha NS10? There’s no low end and almost a 10db spike at 1.5k. But more hits/records have been mixed on them than any other speaker.
I’m getting what feels like multiple popups a day when I open Apple News trying to upsell me on News+. Just now had two at the same time.
@gruber funny you mentioned Logic Pro in your list of examples of apps that would be weird to have touch on the last podcast episode. As a professional mix engineer, Logic is the ONE app I would want touch for on the Mac – just for getting a rough balance with multiple faders at once + basic automation that would be too tedious to do one track at a time with a mouse
