@mekkaokereke reason I ask is I’m looking for how I might contribute to Mastodon development, or federated/decentralized community tech generally.
@mekkaokereke I get the sense there are legal foot guns that might make running your own instance difficult as well, governance stuff like how to handle reports of CSAM
@mekkaokereke you had a series of posts awhile back about features that Masto should add to increase its safety, several around the idea of syndicated block-lists I think? What else do you think would help Mastodon? I need to look into Bsky more but it still seems vulnerable to billionaire takeover.
