Where’s the AI design renaissance? “My hunch: vibe coding is a lot like stock-picking — everyone’s always blabbing about their big wins. Ask what their annual rate of return is above the S&P, and it’s a quieter conversation.” https://www.learnui.design/blog/wheres-the-ai-design-renaissance.html

AI design is currently overhyped · Will AI take design jobs? · What should designers focus on in light of rapidly changing AI tools?

“I turned my LinkedIn profile into what it should have been all along: honest employee reviews of every company I’ve worked for—complete with star ratings.”

Latest post: LinkedIn does not equal opportunity.

LinkedIn does not equal opportunity.

The platform feels like a bad career fair hosted inside an empty mall with Spirit Halloween on one end and a Family Dollar on the other. Inside we're all wandering around like zombies from Dawn of the Dead, desperately trying to look employable. Especially the ones wearing that green sash.

How many parked (unused) domains do you own? I have an idea and want to know if my assumption is correct.

The unbearable obviousness of AI fitness summaries

I’ve been testing AI fitness and health summaries across platforms like Whoop, Oura, and Strava. The results often repackage obvious stats and advice.

TIL why (in British English) we don't use a dot after the “St” short form of “Street”.

The “t” in “St” is *not* the second letter of “Street”, but the sixth. So it's not an abbreviation (like “Prof.” for “Professor”, “etc.” in “et cetera”, etc.), it's a contraction (like “Dr” in “Doctor”, “Mr” in “Mister”, “St” in “Saint” and so on) and contractions don't have a dot.

I assumed it was just a weird English thing, but turns out I found the only language feature that's entirely consistent

If you had six months off work without having to worry about finances, what would you do?

I looked back on my feed and realised I posted this information leaflet exactly a year ago this week. It's useful facts to have to hand, especially in case someone you know has been subject to misinformation online.

This means it's been exactly a year since the government last opened new International Protection Applicant accommodation in our area. It hasn't made our area any less safe despite claims made at the time. Local Garda time is still taken up with the same local crime issues as ever.

If you're lucky, one day, you might meet someone you want to spend your life with, and they will load the dishwasher in a radically different way than you.

So if you are a EU citizen would you do me a favor and sign this petition to ban "conversion therapy" throughout Europe? Thanks

You are not your job search.
You are not a failed application.
You are not an algorithm's reject pile.

The system isn't broken—it's functioning exactly as designed.

Stop performing.
Stop contorting.
Stop thinking one more résumé tweak will crack the code.

Because you know someone who needs this right now.

You are not your job search.

An epic for everyone feeling left behind. Eight years ago I wrote an essay with the same title during a brutal stretch of rejection, silence, and self-doubt. Back then, I was trying to make sense of what had happened. I believed if I just understood why, I could fix it.
