@gruber re: TTS 432: I’m sure you’ve already heard this from like a zillion people, but the App Store is actually one of the four case studies that Doctorow uses on the first chapter of his new book _Enshittification_. I agree with you that it’s different from other Enshittifications, but he makes a compelling argument about the process.
Related: try to avoid saying that you're going to "make yourself" do something. Instead, take a breath, and describe what you hope to *find yourself* doing. Inhabit your intentionality, and quit trying to knock down a fully unlocked door.
Why does _he_ get to steamroll the moderators but _she_ gets spanked for trying it one time?!?!
WORDS HAVE MEANINGS!!!!!!!!!
How does he think bills work?
@caseyliss why do they even make debate rules?!
@hotdogsladies catching up on a month of DBF aftershows. Did you ever commit to a 3d modeling software? I’ve been using Fusion and digging it (though the navigation shortcuts are unrelated to Bambu Studio, which is annoying). There is a great open source Gridfinity plugin that has been really fun to play with
@overcastfm love the update overall! I know it’s a work in progress in some important ways. I am still discovering how important some of these interactions are to the way I use Overcast, and I am happy to admit my edge-case-iness. (There’s a Casey joke in there somewhere.)
@overcastfm another interaction I miss is being able to quickly get to a podcast’s current episodes list (like say all of the unlistened episodes of Upgrade) from the Now Playing or Playlist view. That’s something I did frequently. With over 100 “subscriptions” (some don’t download and some are archived shows), the subscription list is a bit unwieldy for that. (My own doing of course!)
@overcastfm is there no longer a way to reorder playlists manually by dragging multiple items? In the previous version, tapping another episode while dragging the last was one of my most frequent interactions. I have very many subscriptions and am currently on vacation so they’re really piling up. I’d really love to be able to quickly prioritize about 15 of the 80 or so episodes in a playlist for my long flights home in a couple days.
