Last week was special.

The Crit Care programme at #EdinburghUni awarded its first ever #MScs.

After 5 years in the making (2 years of work even before the first student logged in!) and a pandemic during lauch year we wondered if this moment would ever come.

Congratulations to all our graduating students and to all my amazing colleagues but particularly my partner in crime Graham Nimmo (second from left) who retires this year.

I get it

I felt it

Turns out Mastodon does NOT have lock-in features like corporate social media. So you can start anywhere (think of it as your first apartment), wander around, and find a more permanent home later

Here is Mastodon’s founder:

12 November 1847. The first public demonstration of the use of chloroform as an anaesthetic was presented by James Simpson at Edinburgh University. After his death, a burial spot in Westminster Abbey was offered to his family, but they declined it, and buried him in Edinburgh.
