I did a very nice Duathlon training bike ride this morning in the Santa Cruz (CA) area. These photos are at the Seymour Marine Center near the Natural Bridges state park midway through the ride.
Those of us that live here learn to take advantage of a sunny morning and day. This time of year is often foggy. You can see the fog bank off in the distance in the left photo.

Bike riding in Monterey and Pebble Beach
We did a very nice tri-club bike ride on Sunday starting in Monterey (CA) heading south along the coast past Pacific Grove and into the Pebble Beach area along 17 Mile Drive and turning around at the iconic Lone Cypress as seen in the photo.
This part of the CA coast is spectacular with its rocky beaches intermixed with white sand. Along the route you pass two of the famous Pebble Beach golf courses, Spyglass Hill and Spanish Bay. And of course there are the houses. You’re either awed or appalled at their Hurst Castle-like gaudy excessiveness.

#Biking Santa Cruz CA
We did this 20 mile bike ride this weekend from #Capitola to the Seymour Marine lab north of #SantaCruz. My wife and I crossed over a 1000 bike miles each in 2024 this weekend. This is one of the nicer bike routes in the Santa Cruz area, IMHO. Starting at the Jade Street Park in Capitola, it is slightly inland for the first half then along the coast for the back half return to Capitola.
With all of the chaos surrounding us, it is a nice way to clear the head and get active outside in the fresh air.
Suite à mes interrogations, j’ai eu accès au règlement sportif de la FFC. Il stipule noir sur blanc que les femmes transgenres n’aillant pas entamé une transition médicale avant ses 12 ans 🤯 ne peut prétendre à une licence féminine. Ce qui veut dire dans la majorité des cas que ce sport est inaccessible.
On notera aussi le nombre incroyable de conditions dans le cas d’une transition MtF.

I decided to annoy you with my #EscapeToItaly trip. Weather in the Northern Alps is meh now, so might as well. The goal is to bike for 5 days and then volunteer to rebuild an old house for 5 days. And then join my partner who will pick me up in a camper van for 5 days.
