“Yet” is one of the most powerful words in poetry. One insignificant syllable and it can turn the whole poem around.
My favourite two examples:

My current D&D group are starting a nautical adventure and I’ve been planning to surprise them with theme music next session. Though, um, I may have gone a little overboard (so to speak).
