Had an amazing opportunity to visit and learn in the Canadian Norths recently with some library colleagues. I will be processing the impressions from the trip for some time. Suffice to say it had an immediate and distinct impact on my thinking about how southern universities work with people in the north.

Last week I was running in shorts and short sleeves in Beverly Hills. Yesterday was a bit different. I enjoyed the warmth of California, but the solitude of winter in the aspen parkland is unbeatable.
