Sometimes it feels like the world is kicking you over and over again. When we are in a period of time when there is little to celebrate little of anything positive to talk about make sure you take care of your mental and physical health. find solace in the small things. take a long walk sit in a park and clear your head. shut down social media and tell the influencers to shut up. If you are struggling financially don't hesitate to purchase where you can get the best price. you need to look after you because the business who want you to keep spending won't be there to offer any help when your credit card and other bills come in. it's not being selfish it's how you survive until better times arrive, and they will!

I called this photo 'solitude"

I was going through some photos tonight and found this one of the Swamp Hen
I have added a colour version of today’s walk in the park
A Black & white I. The Park.
A walk in the Park today
A Black & White at the Botanic Park.
It looks like the firefighters have had a win today with the Longwood fire. Working hard while the weather conditions are milder. With a fire like this it’s going to be weeks before it will be rounded up and it’s not the time to stop being vigilant but the enormous effort by paid and volunteer firefighters is making a difference. Keep the faith.
Fires today at around 11.55am. The Longwood fire. Mansfield where I live is still outside the warning areas but vigilance is still needed as the fires are still out of control.
Happy new year! I hope 2026 brings you good health happiness and plenty of things to smile about.
I printed out a few Christmas tree postcards and dropped them in some letterboxes. It maybe the only Christmas messages some people get that they are being thought off.
