😅 Reached a major milestone on the LiveView course update: Everything’s ready to start filming!

It's been redesigned, top-to-bottom for Phoenix 1.7 and LiveView 0.18. Plus brand new sections on function components, live sessions, Presence, and JS commands.

It integrated well into a project I’ve been working on, yet another tool to boost productivity with Ash 🔥

🎉 Its here! AshAuthentication is the latest entry into the Ash ecosystem, and its a huge deal! It already supports OAuth2 & password out of the box, and ships with LiveViews and components to get you up and running in no time flat. No code generation necessary! More big news:👇

Native Americans are asking The Apache Software Foundation, "…to take the necessary steps needed to express the ally-ship they promote so deeply on their website, to act in accordance with their own code of conduct, to “be careful in the words that [they] choose”, and change their name."

It'll be a big change, but IMO one that's necessary and overdue.

Apache® Appropriation

It is not uncommon to learn about non-Indigenous entities appropriating Indigenous culture but none of them are as large, prestigious, nor well-known as The Apache® Software Foundation is in software circles.

I managed to get Ash working after some failed attempts last year.

It’s amazing.

⚡️I managed to model a simple domain, the DSL with autocomplete worked flawlessly and adding a GraphQL api was a handful of lines of code.

🤯 The potential for this set of libraries as a framework is immense. It’s explicit and theres escape hatches, it strikes a balance perfectly.

Some of the concepts in Land of LISP are just sinking in. I might tackle the first game next week 🤞
I've done my first language for #12in23 with Common Lisp. I'll probably keep going for another week to try progress beyond simple problems but it's been interesting so far.

I love the idea of #12in23 https://exercism.org/challenges/12in23

I think it will be fun to try some different languages this year.

I don’t care what anyone says, I loved Andor 🙌 It’s one of the best #StarWars series and it showed more of the world and how it evolved over time which was super interesting!

🚀 Doing Advent of Code 2022 in #elixir with Livebook is really fun, it's the perfect medium for creating executable notebooks to solve problems.
