I humanize and design meaningful, branded product and service experiences.

I'm unsure why anybody would choose to work at Apple who isn't spiritually connected to their work and the people driving change.

No, I wasn't "best friends" with Steve in the same way Hiroki and he would have dinner together but his bi-weekly reviews of our design work made him somewhat of a spiritual dad to everyone on the design team & the work we did together will always make me sentimental about a chapter of my life where I was pushed to my limits & asked to step up to the plate everyday.

At the heart of a real Apple designer lies someone who is so fed up with the way previous inventions they've had a hand in building had been adopted that they go on to invent something new that will change the very public behaviour that they were foundational in shaping to begin with.
My boss, Eddy Cue and Robert Kondrk presented my designs directly to Steve on a twice weekly basis for 5 years. Sometimes they would get presented through CKS and marketing communications, other times they would get presented as business opportunities. Our applications design team only had around 5 people and grew to 25 and SJ made sure he knew every one of us.
@louie Saying that one of Steve’s designers who presented their work every week, twice a week for five years is someone Steve didn’t know personally only exposes just how out of touch that person is with the intense working environment that made up the Apple design team.

This iTunes icon discussion about my Dribbble post was a total trap I set to get the icon community talking about how much more work went into building iTunes outside of just icon design.

I knew they’d fall for it by claiming I didn’t design the icon. 🤭

Michael Darius absolutely did not make either the “original iTunes icon / logo for the launch of the iTunes Store” found here: https://dribbble.com/shots/4896032-Original-iTunes-Icon-Logo These icons were made by Brian Frick, a friend of mine. I’ve seen the source files when I worked at Apple myself. Zero chance Michael had any part of it or ever worked with Steve Jobs. I think even *today*, there’s no way Michael Darius could create the icons Brian made 20 years ago. No evidence to show he drew anything.

The best designers design for inter-species cognition and sustainability.
If it has to destroy a neighboring species @habitat in order to exist, it doesn't need to exist.
The @dataarchitectures for this year's 🖥️, next years 💻 and the following year's 📱will ship with @dataarchitectures that I personally built which means that I don't ✅ for you, you ✅ for me.
When @somebody tells you, they need a relocation package in order for @dataarchitectures to be @sustainable, you don't ⏱️ for the Olympics to be over.
Sorry, but the Apple logo made to look like anything other than the Apple logo wasn't designed by us.
