@futurebird I favor using acronyms for increasingly complicated (and obscure) functions. Somewhat obscure to me, and more so to the general math audience. After all, gcf and lcm are awesome successful acronym-named functions. I have a couple functions I’ve worked out acronym names for that I use a lot, but I would have to look up the names I invented for them.

@krypt3ia I come into the office most days. I'm often the only one in the office in my department. I come in because my commute is a pleasant walk or short train ride. Also, my office at work is better equipped than my dining room table in my 1 br apartment, and I can keep stuff here. I connect with (some of) my co-workers in person serially, when they come in one day per week. But I also connect to all my co-workers, including remote ones, during our online meetings.
