You give everyone your best—just make sure you don’t leave yourself out of that.

#habitstacking continued… On the weekends my breakfast routine is a little off and different every time thus I usually have more breaks in my #duolingo streak.

If you are trying to introduce a new habit into your life:
1. Start small (workout for 1 minute, jog for 1 minute etc)
2. Stack it with something you already do everyday, “I workout for 1 minute before dinner.”
3. Keep trying. You won’t be perfect or always hit the mark and that’s okay, keep going, keep trying.

Habit Stacking is a behavior based strategy that is rooted in both neuroscience and psych where you take one already solidified habit and introduce a new habit that you want to link to it.

Neurons that wire together, fire together so if we take something already in place & add something new (typically small to start) we’re more likely and more easily able to lock both in as routine.

Example: I stack breakfast with #duolingo practice and the difference is huge.

Acceptance is not approval. We can accept what moment is, who a person is, what is without saying we’re okay with it but without accepting it, we cannot move on from it. We must first accept what is.
If you weigh more than you think you should you still deserve to eat. It’s a vicious cycle punishing yourself for not eating. Not eating isn’t the solution to no longer feeling guilt and pain over eating too much or weighing more. It only leads to the same place with the same feelings. The underlying goal we’re missing is it to consistently eat more in alignment with how you want to feel and that means you must eat more consistently if you don’t want to respond to not eating with overeating.
Monday Ritual: Spend 30 minutes planning out my week in my planner; organizing all the things (family, workouts, work, hobbies, self-care etc) by far the most powerful ritual I have. #organize #plan #execute #beflexible sometimes it works exactly as planned and sometimes it doesn’t, both are okay!
