I'm a backend software engineer with ~6 years experience, primarily typescript and postgres lately, with a lot of experience in software architecture and building new projects from scratch.
I'm a jack of most trades and have touched upon lots of other technologies and arcane debugging rituals and have a pretty good understanding of the ~full stack~.
I'm eager to learn more rust or something completely new to me like erlang or elixir!

For me it's because our computer lab help desk in college had them and I learned to build web sites on one while I worked there
I'm entering my cranky old software developer era and I feel like writing a bespoke "life os" to manage all my crap. I want something like the Apple Newton's "Soup" database and two-way sync to all the stuff you normal people use. You see a Google Calendar event, my custom phone UI sees a record with type="calendar". I want pub/sub and a swarm of small, focused services. I want to experiment and build and not be beholden to the latest startup. I want it to be personal. I want it to be fun for me.
I got one of those RG35XX H handhelds and I'm in retro gaming heaven.
Ultima V runs under DOSBOX on it with a cute little on-screen keyboard. It was so tempting to call in sick and spend all day in Britannia.
Just listed on eBay: Commodore 128D keyboard for parts or repair.
External keyboard for a Commodore 128D computer. Just missing…the casing? The circuit board and frame are there. All the keys and switches are present. It even has the cable and DB25 connector. But it's as naked as my college roommate after that one party we can't talk about anymore. I repeat, there is no plastic casing, shell, husk, or whatever you call it.
